AARP 55 ALIVE/Mature Driving is the nation's first and largest classroom driver improvement course specially designed for motorists age 50 and older. It is intended to help older drivers improve their skills while teaching them to avoid accidents and traffic violations. Instruction is provided by John C. McCowan Jr.
Upon completing the 8-hour AARP 55 ALIVE/Mature Driving course, you receive
a course completion certificate which may then be presented to your insurance agent.
Depending on your insurance company's policies, you may be eligible for an automobile
insurance premium reduction or discount.
Course consists of a two day seminar lasting from 8:30 AM to 12:00 Noon. Classes are held at the Palmdale Senior Center located at 1002 Avenue Q-12. Classes are extremely popular, so make your reservation soon by calling 661-267-5551. Registration fee is $8.00.
