Each year AARP Chapter 2195 selects two seniors, a girl and a boy student from Palmdale High School who have plans to attend a college or university of their choice.
The student's grades must be in the medium to high range and they should show a keen interest in school activities and honor clubs. Important also are the goals they envision for their future.
The students, after they have been selected and accepted at their college or university, will be presented a sum of $250.00 each from the treasury of AARP Chapter 2195.
2007 Scholarship Awardee

Jose applied to UCLA,
Stanford, Dartmouth, Berkeley, and USC. He has been accepted by all five universities. His
interest is in law, business administration, and medicine. Jose has received many awards and honors in the academic community. |
Mandesa Harris Mandesa applied and has been accepted at Cal State Northridge, Cal State Dominguez Hills, and Cal State Sacramento. She has been accepted at all three. Her interest is law. Mandesa was very active on campus, and received many community awards and honors. |
